How Prisma Works

  1. Define your policies — Encode your organization's rules, compliance standards, and quality guidelines as policy metrics
  2. Validate at scale — Every interaction — human or AI — is automatically validated against your policy metrics in real time or in batch. Move from sampling to 100% coverage
  3. Human review for edge cases — When validation results are ambiguous, cases are routed to domain experts. Experts review only when necessary
  4. The system learns — Expert feedback becomes metamemory (HSCM) that future validations draw on automatically, reducing ambiguous rates and continuously improving precision

Architecture

Prisma consists of two components:

  • Prisma Platform (prisma-base) — The backend providing APIs for validation, human review, analytics, notifications, and administration. Deploys on-premises or in your VPC. Requires a license.
  • Prisma SDK (prisma-ai) — A Python SDK for ingesting data from human-led and AI-powered workflows at scale using OpenTelemetry. Integrates with the Prisma Platform to run policy validations, and connects with your existing visualization and observability tools (Power BI, Tableau, Teams, and more).
